So around here this week....
Marc's wife, Rachelle, took a picture of this Sweet William plant growing out of a crack in my retaining wall. She brought it up as another example of blooming where you're planted. Sort of like the little pansy growing out of the pavers I've shown before.
My daughter came up for the holiday weekend. She actually came up with the twins a couple of days before her husband. You might remember they had a stomach bug run rampant in their family, but she woke up Thursday morning feeling fine, so she made the trek with the boys by herself. Anyway, just after she got here, she said she felt "off" and it was all downhill from there. My husband and I took over the boys and you can see from this picture, we had one sick one, and one tired one. We were exhausted by the end of the day.
They are a lot of fun, and fortunately my daughter was only down for a day.
As I've said many times, my husband was a very involved dad, and is a very hands-on grandpa. So hands on, that he changed more dirty diapers than I did. Right now, Jack and Leo really like books.
Hunting magazines don't hold their interest quite as long, but Grandpa made the effort.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, Quincy lost his first tooth, and was pretty excited about it.
And from Marc's family, Miss Hazel is finally big enough to wear some of her cute dresses, and is pretty happy about it.
Quincy is a wild man
