So around here this week...
The rose show is about ready to start....or it was until we had hail last Sunday night. This rose now looks a little worse for wear, a little battered around the edges, with its poor head hanging pretty limp.
We're in the middle of repainting the house, going just a shade grayer than it is now...sort of like me. The picture here doesn't quite capture the right color. It's a bit more blue-ish in real life. In actuality the change in color is so slight, it's probably unnoticeable. But I try.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, Evan had the irrigation water for his pasture, and No Pants Quincy decided to put on his boots and help out.
I got this picture of Evan's wife, Jan and I absolutely love it. All the boys and their dog trailing through the pasture of an evening. You know how I love that "from behind" view.
Evan sent me this one the same evening it hailed.
I got this one from his wife, who caught all four of the horses that are on their pasture....by herself....and had them tied up. Jan-4, Horses-0. She. Is. Woman.
From Eric's family, there was sister time,
and time with the resident felines.
They are big cat people. Eric? Not quite as much since he's allergic, but he can understand the usefulness of good mousers.
Summer vacation has started for all the kiddos, much to their parent's delight......right?
There has been some pool time already, despite the cool and fairly rainy spring we've had.
I got this really sweet video of David reading to John from Collin's family.
Now contrast that moment with this one where all the boys are pretending to be Gideon from the Old Testament. Family Home Evening at its finest.
From Marc's family, we've told the story of the week's big event, but here's one of Jude asleep on the stairs. It had been a big day, and this was as far as he got before giving out.
Miss Hazel has things to say now....big stories to tell.
From my daughter, there was a walk with the boys and a stop by a snowball bush, which is one of her very favorites.
Now I know what to give Collin’s kids for Christmas

I'm planning a full kazoo orchestra for our next family dinner.
