So around here this week....
We picked the peaches off the tree. #savethepeaches Marc's family and Bryce helped with this project.
We got literally boxes of them. A lot of them will be traveling to my sister's house since the in-town family seems to have enough of their own. I'll keep some for canning, but I don't need all of these. I don't have bottles enough to do them all.
It was a chilly early morning for Marc's boys, so they took the opportunity to sun themselves on the driveway like little lizards.
My husband has been gone on an extended adventure with Evan and Eric in the frozen northland of my birth, so some "I'm gone. Please let me back in the house when I'm done chasing critters." flowers arrived.
They arrived back in cell service range yesterday and the pictures started coming in.
I'm sparing you the pictures of chased critters in favor of these Northern Lights pictures they caught.
Pretty cool.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, Marc's family came back over to the house to ride their bikes in my driveway, and eat a few plums from the I'm-still-bitter-and-holding-a-grudge plum tree.
Jude especially enjoyed them.
It's also been Fair Week in our county and Bryce & Sarah took a turn around the booths of fried foods before going to the rodeo. Deep-fried Oreos were pretty good, he said.
In honor of Fair Week, for family Sunday dinner this week, Marc made funnel cakes for dessert, and they were more than acceptable. Edward ate 2 of the plate-sized offerings by himself.
I also got this one of John from Collin. Fortunately, they are all feeling better after their bout of Covid. David lost his sense of smell for a couple of days, but Collin's is slowly returning. Grateful he and Alison were vaccinated!
FUNNEL CAKE!!!
