This edition of Other People's Cameras is brought to you by my husband, Eric and Marc, who went on an adventure last week along with Evan and several of my grandchildren to Hell's Canyon.
In my opinion, it's kind of a forbidding name for a place to take said grandchildren, but I was assured they'd be safe since this trip has fallen into that "annual once-in-a-lifetime" category, and has happened numerous times.
I want you to notice something in the next three pictures....
....other than the fact that I have really cute grandkids, who are having a lot of fun....
....let's just take a minute to appreciate the teenagerishness that I see emerging in Edward. My eldest grandboy is 14 and is showing his age.
Of course the purpose of the trip was to catch fish. Mostly there were bass.
Although it looks like Caroline caught a nice trout.
Most of these bass went into a fish taco dinner one night.
I'm told it was "dang good."
Grandpa got in on the action as well.
This was Isaac's first time going. It was prep for the annual Wind River trip he's eligible to go on this year.
Besides the bass and trout, there was at least an hour Evan and Eric spent reeling in this sturgeon. Sturgeon are kind of a leftover prehistoric fish that are protected here in Idaho. You can catch one, but you can't keep it. This one measured out at 94".
Of course, Caroline managed to find a new friend. This one was set free, just like the sturgeon.
There was a little time spent playing in the water. Isaac decided to check and see if his waterproof boots are indeed, waterproof....by wading in up to his thighs. Hmmmm, not sure the waterproofing works quite that way.
It was a big adventure for the kiddos and I think everyone gave it a thumbs up.
Fun trip!
