So around here this week...
I'm really enjoying seeing the fruits of my labors 2 years ago.
It's that satisfaction of seeing something I put in the ground come back again.
It might sound a little cheesy, but it gives me joy.
I planted some pansies in a few of the pots. Spring can officially begin now.
We celebrated Bryce's birthday last weekend with some ribs. Jude got the gnawing down pretty well. Bryce had quite a specific menu request that included broccoli salad, baked beans and THE CAKE.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, I got this video commentary done by Quincy. My favorite part is his opinion of "dog germs." That, and the fact that Cookie stays asleep through almost the whole thing.
Our Caroline got herself a nice set of specs.
I also got an update on Curiosity and Freedom.
They are happily ensconced in their new habitat and I hope they will be very happy.....there. Although my daughter-in-law reports that twice last week, she's gone through the anxiety of having a "missing" snake that was supposedly loose in the house. Both times they were just hiding really well in their habitat.
Eric's family has been doing a little traveling this week in southern Utah. I'll include more pictures of their adventure next week.
It was spring break week in Collin's neck of the woods, and they spent a couple of nights in a cabin, but I can't remember exactly where he said this was.
They roasted hot dogs, and rumor has it there were some s'mores.
John guzzled some root beer.
And I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it.
There were hikes, and some soccer playing....a good time for everyone.
I also got these pictures of James and David (who apparently wouldn't stand together to have them taken, and that made me laugh a little bit),
...out in front of their church last Sunday under some spring blooms.
This is my daughter-in-law, Alison's, latest wood working project. You know the boys are Jurassic Park fans. She cut the logo out and put it on Plexiglas with the light behind it. The light can change colors, too. Pretty impressive.
From Marc's family, Levi brought the bandana and "gun" for Marc and instructed him to put the on. Then he said, "You're a bandit. Your name is Moonshine."
Moonshine then put his bandit talent to work by using a Nerf gun and dental floss to get Isaac's wobbly tooth out. It took a few tries, but it worked especially well since Isaac wouldn't let anyone touch it, and the permanent tooth was already halfway grown in behind it.
And lastly, the Biggest.
Yawn.
Ever.

Haha that's a super good bandit. You know a guy with that name can't be trustworthy.
