So around here this week...
I noticed on my walk one morning that my Giant sunflowers have started to bloom.
They're really tall which makes it a little difficult to get a really good picture.
The first variety that bloomed is about done. You remember the ones with the fuzzy centers? They do indeed make seeds. This variety is much shorter than the tall ones and this is the largest head on the plant. It's about the size of a saucer.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, I got this one from Eric. They were on a hike in Montana this past week. This just shows how pervasive the Turtle Power is at their house.
Collin's family went on a wander and James found a cicada.
He also found an enormous leaf. Any ideas what kind of tree this comes from?
It was warm enough that they need to get some ice cream, and it's seriously the most virulent blue I've ever seen.
David wanted some, too.
That is some blue ice cream!

It looks like they are eating paint. Are you sure it's not paint?
