So around here this week...
Ah yes, it's that time of year. We're trying something a little different.
Several years ago, my husband got me this for Christmas....just for this purpose. Canning outside to the house doesn't heat up. He's considerate of my hot flashes that way. Then again, it's taken him 4 years to get it set up and going. One of those "now that I'm retired" projects. I've also been spending what time I can getting things set up for the annual Cackle & Craft, happening very soon.
We're getting our later crop of strawberries. Levi came and grabbed my husband saying, "Grandpa, I see a strawberry we can eat!"
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, Eric decided to take on the project of making pool noodle "whomping sticks." These were well-received by his kids and also by all those boy cousins when he brought them to Sunday dinner last week.
From Collin's family there was more exploring of their new area.
These pictures came with the ones of the mushrooms. I love seeing those happy faces.
David left his muffin on the table and John wasted no time grabbing it. Finders, keepers...the lesson comes early.
I got this picture of Jude taking it easy. He was not a happy camper when he came to visit Honey this week. He'd been to the doctor and had some immunizations, poor kiddo. Grandpa gave him cookies, though, so things were looking just a little better.
And lastly, this one came from Marc's wife, Rachelle. She remembered that I took a First Day of School picture of all my kids for literally years. This is Marc's first official day of work...his last first day I guess, until he gets to retirement. I really appreciated that she remembered the tradition and took the picture for me.
Glad Rachelle tucked his shirt in and cleaned off his milk mustache

I think she missed some sticky-ups though
