This post is brought to you by other people's cameras in the wild. You might remember that my husband recently went on one of his annual once-in-a-lifetime adventures. He was in Alaska salmon fishing with Evan, Eric, and my daughter. They were out on a boat in a river for part of the time, and also fished from shore some of the time. I just depended on what kind of salmon they were looking for.
This is why I sort of scream inside sometimes when he goes on these trips. They had fished from this shore the previous day. These are fresh bear tracks going over their day-before footprints. And if you want to get an idea of the relative size of these tracks....
This is my husband's boot next to one of them. Where's my screaming face emoji??
Elisa sent me some pictures recently of a weekend campout their family took.
For local folks, I think this is up by Anderson Ranch, I think? I'm always grateful to get pictures from my kids to see what kind of adventures they're having.
They flew kites down by the water and if you look closely, I think those are socks tied onto the string as tails for this kite.
Gwen launching her kite.
Since it is my family, there was also some fishing involved.
Ephraim doing a little surveying of the area.
Caroline excavating said area.
Gwen doing what she loves best....finding a quiet place to read.
And dinner on the grill....so to speak.
Dessert coming right up.
That bear was looking for Evan. He's the tender one.
