We're having a Friday edition of AHTH because tomorrow is a special day. So around here this week...
My husband was home with me last week because Evan and his wife were supposed to be in Israel, and he was going to help me tend the 4 boys. That trip was cancelled, of course, so we had what I called a retirement dry run. Yes, my husband is retiring this summer, and while he's ecstatic about it, I'm having some anxiety. I had to send him outside to play with the dogs a couple of times in the name of marital harmony. He has perhaps had his eyes opened about just what goes on here to maintain the home and minister to my family in different ways. At least I hope so.
There are still memes out there that make me chuckle about the current situation. Yes, I know it's very serious and we are doing our best to be socially distant, but there has to be some humor and some joy in life despite the gloom and doom.
These came, and I immediately rubbed the whole vase down with hand sanitizer.
Some baking happened.
And the yard is starting to come alive. As I've mentioned in previous years, I love the color and growth that comes with spring, but it also means yard maintenance, which is just another thing I have to add to my list of things to do.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, I got this one of Quincy from Evan. His family moved a wood pile this week and Quincy was really bored. Loved the long-suffering expression on his face.
Eric, my do-it-yourselfer, installed a smart thermostat at his house.
What's funny is this picture. These are what he described as "brain food" for the project.
This one came from Collin with the caption, "The world has a TP shortage, and John really couldn't care."
This one is of the TP culprit himself watching one of his favorite things. Whenever we FaceTime, he wants to see the dogs.
Marc, my Star Wars uber-fan sent this.
Bryce and Sarah celebrated National Waffle Day by making a pheasant version of chicken and waffles.
You might not immediately recognize the people in this picture. This is my brother and his son. Up until this week, Michael has been serving a church mission in the Philippines. When the government gave foreigners 3 days to leave the country before they shut it down for the foreseeable future, he was part of a huge airlift of 1800 missionaries that were flown home on 5 jets chartered by the church.
And lastly my daughter-in-law, Jan, wrote a poem about life in quarantine that was pretty funny.
Good photos this week! Fun to see them all.

Lots of great photos and love the poem. I was just thinking something similar today. I have a stack of ironing to do but is there really any hurry? ROFL!
