A little....well, maybe not so little...recap of our General Conference weekend in the mountains.
We wondered if we'd run into snow when we went in, and as you can see, we did. It was only about an inch, but it's moments like this when I'm glad I'm driving a truck. It was totally gone by the end of the weekend.
This is actually one of my favorite pictures from the our time there. Seeing my family gathered and tuned in to conference just makes my heart happy.
I like to keep my hands busy while I listen. In fact, it helps me concentrate, which can be a consideration with this number of grandkids in residence.
My husband had considerable help shucking some corn for dinner....including a ninja. Not everyone can say that.
The kid's favorite book this trip was an animal atlas of sorts, with very small pictures and just a list of facts, but they were just fascinated.
A lot of these pictures were taken by Eric's wife, Elisa. Here's Ephraim and Caroline.
A sleepy Jude.
Marc's wife, Rachelle, and Levi.
Jude wiggling on the floor.
And Roger in a sleeping bag nest.
There were snuggles, too.
And a little stretching...
...of various kinds. In happy news, we hauled the old fridge out....
and got the new one in and functioning. There was much rejoicing in the land about that.
Here is Quincy the Climber. He decided a banana was just what he wanted, so he pushed a chair over to the counter and hoisted himself up. He didn't realize that the kitchen is situated right above where we were watching the speakers, so we knew exactly what was going on after the first time.
One of the best things about these large gathering times, is the mixing and mashing of different families. Here are Frederick, Isaac and Emmett.
Levi and Uncle Eric.
Caroline and Jude.
Gwen, Roger, Caroline and Ephraim on a chilly morning waiting for breakfast.
And Jude and Uncle Eric. Baby Jude was a definite draw.
There were also activities to keep the kids busy, especially during meal-prep time. Elisa engineered this pre-dinner "let's be snakes" venture.
And lastly, my sister's post-conference letter board. Yep.
Great conference!

I wonder how many different ways that ninja could kill you with the corn husks.
