So around here this week....
The birch tree is fully turned and my thought after I took this picture was that it was just waiting for the next breath of air to drop all its leaves.
Which was pretty much proved true later in the week.
I ordered some new tulip and daffodil bulbs from Floret Flowers. I'm afraid my eyes were a little bigger than my muscles. I got 9 different packages that each contained at least 18 bulbs, and they were huge.
I planted 3 kinds on Thursday, and this is what still remained to go into the ground. I'm hoping to get the rest of them in over the next week.
I had a bit of an interesting experience last week. I had my annual mammogram and was called back for additional magnified views of some changes the radiologist saw. I got the additional views and then he wanted an ultrasound of the questionable area. Fortunately, he didn't see anything suspicious in whatever he was looking at, which was happy news, but I can admit now to some adrenaline moments.
As a reward, I took myself to see the Downton Abbey movie. For the most part I really enjoyed it.
Sent to me this week from the kids and grandkids, I'm including this one my husband sent. I don't often include dead things pictures, but Bryce was here for a few days to chase critters, and this picture is one of the least offensive hunting pictures I've ever seen.
Elisa took the kids to a local farm/pumpkin patch, but it's more than that.
They have all kinds of things to entertain the kids...
...including a slide,
and a big corn bin, and bouncy things, and a maze.
I'm thinking a good time was had by all.
Collin and David went on an adventure when Collin was off on Monday for Columbus Day.
They went to Point Lookout Park, where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay.
And lastly, this one from Marc's family of Super Levi, who had some success in potty training this week....cape and all.
You have to admit, you have some pretty photogenic grandkids, Ma!

Ahh, Point Lookout park. Stomping grounds from my early childhood. Still have family in that area!
