So around here this week...
There was a family extravaganza up at the cabin for General Conference weekend. There will be more on this coming next week, but it was a rollicking time.
It's also been pretty chilly and I'm OK with that, as you know. Things will warm up some again, but we had some frosty days, and because of that...
My husband and I picked my favorite Golden Delicious apples in a hurried 15 minutes after dinner and before he had some meetings. With the wind we had, I was afraid they'd all end up on the ground, and while a touch of frost is good for them, I didn't want them to be frozen solid.
Since it only took 15 minutes to pick the tree, you know that it isn't very big, but we got a full apple box, which is the most we've ever had on that tree. It just makes me happy to go out and pull actual Golden Delicious apples, and I'm looking forward to eating these and using them in various baked goods.
I also cut what is probably the last rose bouquet for the year. Never mind that it was 10:37 at night, and I had to use my phone light to cut them. I got it done.
Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week, I got this one from Evan of Roger's family birthday celebration.
And also this one of Edward getting shorn. If you refer back to the first picture in this post, you can see a "before" view of his amazing curly hair. He really likes his curls, so the shearing isn't his favorite thing.
From Collin's family, this one showing how John is pulling himself up now which is so hard to believe. All of Collin's boys have enjoyed playing in the dishwasher, but in all honesty I think every kid loves the dishwasher.
He also sent me this picture of what's supposed to be a red pepper. I had exactly this same experience when I tried to grow them. They never turned color.
From Marc's family, where was a picture from Family Home Evening, where the discussion was about Ephesians, and putting on the whole armor of God. They are ready for those fiery darts!
They got a little snow with the cold front that moved through here, and Levi even pulled out the sleds to go for a ride. I'm not sure there was quite enough snow to make that happen, but he's ready.
Yep he won’t do the little boy haircut anymore.
