This & That: Around Here This Week

So around here this week.....

We're going to start off with the beautiful thing. The strawberries are giving us a small second picking.

Then there was this...... I tell you, I could hear heavenly choruses of angels singing when we had a day of showers that didn't get out of the 70's. This was the temperature in the early afternoon. You can bet my windows were flung wide and I was chortling my way around the house. Yes, chortling. Of course the temperatures are heading back up, but I'm hoping were done with the upper 90's for the year. Crossing my fingers.

In actuality, this has been what my life has looked like for most of the week. I really need to dig out my craft room, but I've had so little time to do anything productive to fill my cup, that I've just been ignoring this. I've put on my best Scarlett O'Hara imitation and declared that, "I'll think about it tomorrah." I've been doing that for 3 or 4 months now. A little longer isn't going to hurt, I don't think.

Eric's wife, Elisa, brought me these. These are fresh eggs. Their hens are doing the job and I got some eggs. There may have been a bit of a happy dance when I cooked the first ones up.

So fun to see the different colors and sizes.

Sent to me from the kids and grandkids this week. I got this one from Evan's wife, Jan, showing me what Quincy got himself for breakfast one morning. He apparently needed an animal fat fix.

Collin took a couple of really cool pictures this week. This is the Supreme Court building.

And I think this picture of the Capitol Building is really good.

Marc's family has been traveling and spent the week with his wife's family. There was some building that happened. This is going to be Marc's BBQ cart.
