You know we made a very fast trip out to Washington DC for an event with Collin's family.
It was great to get to spend some time with them, short as it was.
Grandpa told David there were treats in the suitcase for him, so he thought it would be a good idea to see if he could move the process along.
Things are in full bloom out there, with trees like this all over the place. While we didn't have time for any sightseeing on this trip, as we drove from the airport we could see the cherry blossoms on the National Mall across the river....kind of.
We did go for a bit of a wander right around where Collin lives. I'm not sure what these purple flowers are, but they were everywhere in the grass.
Even John enjoyed the walk.
And James and David were happy to be roaming.
We went down by the National Harbor for brunch one morning. Collin really likes brunch. Yes, there's a random metal arm in the background. I guess there's a statue of Poseidon behind that railing.
As we were walking back to our car, I had to get a picture of this. It's an entire store devoted to Peeps. If the zombie apocalypse comes, I know what food will last the longest. I really wanted to open the door and just take a picture of the all the artificial color, but we were on a time crunch to get back home.
We were on the lookout for Bryce during the Saturday afternoon session of conference. They showed this same group of girls about 26 times, but only got over to Bryce's side a couple of times.
I was in stealth mode when I took this picture. Grandpa was getting some good grins and stories here.
This was the picture Collin sent while we were on the way home. "Gramma Honey, when are you coming back?" Gaaaaahhhhhhh!
Good pictures!

Love these pictures! Poseidon’s arm and a store of Peeps made me laugh! The pic of Grandpa with John is precious!
