I'm back, and I know you've been pining away for updates here, right? I'll warn you up front and remind you later on, that I'm doing some traveling for the second half of the month and into the first week of February, so posting during that time is likely to be sporadic to non-existent. But before then I need to catch you up on the holiday happenings around here.
My daughter sent me this one of her and her hubby. Birks have made the comeback, people. When I sported them 20 years ago, it was only the granola people who wore them....forget the fact that they're comfortable as heck. Now they're a trendy fashion statement, and we all know how cutting edge trendy I am.
I got Bryce home from school, and it was his job to put the stalk on the reindeer....
.....and all was right in the Allan Christmas tree world.
We had a tragedy in Eric's family when one of the kittens died. It was Gwen's and she was really heartbroken.
There was a little hillside funeral held.
That said, Santa brought her a new, very sweet little kitten, so she is feeling a little better after a brush with one of life's hard lessons.
Yay blog!!

It was a sad but good lesson for the kids to learn. They handled it well. Kind of like a training-wheels-on version of experiencing loss. It was heartwarming to see them rely on their faith and on each other to get them through.
