On the Road Again...

Eric's family spent some time traveling west last week.

They stopped by Crater Lake.

Caroline found a wounded quail near where they stayed. Apparently it jumped out of her hands and into a river, made the courageous swim to the other side, but unfortunately didn't survive the cat that was waiting there.

There was an excursion to see some redwood trees.

Caroline again with another animal friend.

Gwen tried some calamari at a local watering hole.

There was a crabbing adventure.

My daughter-in-law didn't look too thrilled about cleaning them.

Cooking the spoils. There are rumors that some of the crab made it home to their freezer.

They wandered the beach...

....where Emmett was able to find some interesting stuff.

And Gwen found a new pet. They arrived home safe and sound, and I'm sure there will be some stories to hear about when I see them next.

It was a blast! Definitely ended up with too much crab. We'll have to plan a family feed or something.
