There's been some traveling going on behind the scenes here.
Eric's family made a trek out west, where they spent some time at Disneyland.
They had a lot of fun while they were there.
This, however, was a real deja vu moment. The first time my husband and I took the kids to Disneyland, when my daughter was about 2 1/2, it rained buckets. We wore ponchos like these and ended up fairly soggy. Good times. In fact, the guide on the jungle ride said something about Bryce being a cellophane-wrapped kid.
The rain didn't bother Ephraim much, though.
They got to spend some time with Collin's family, too.
Meanwhile, my husband and I traveled to Utah for Bryce's Men's Chorus concert. If you look at the lower left corner of the choir, you'll see him there. Great music....such a nice evening. We got to have dinner with Bryce and my daughter before the concert started.
And afterwards, we tried our best to get selfies....in the dark. For those of you familiar with the BYU campus, this is the sidewalk between the HFAC and the MOA. It took several tries, and we were giggling quite a bit as we made our attempts.
Some worked better than others. So good to see these kids.
We spent some time with my in-laws the next day. They live on the family farm where my husband grew up. We took a wander to check on some horses. They were checking us out to see if we had any food for them.
Turned out they were in luck. The guys dished some hay out of this shed for them to snack on. Last summer Bryce and Jake stacked hay in this old shed for exactly this purpose. My husband did his share of hay-stacking when he lived here.
Lots of growing up memories for my husband on this land, so there were some "remember when" stories.
I got stung by wasps stacking hay in that barn.
