I have no idea when the "official" wedding photographer will have edited files for us, so I've collected several from family members to give you an idea of how the day went. I will freely admit that I had no camera with me and stepped back from that role to just live the day.
Trying on the dress for the family the afternoon before.
I will not discuss the dress drama that occurred up until 10:30 the night before the wedding. Suffice it to say that it existed and then was magically (thankfully) gone on the day itself.
My sister took this one as they exited the temple.
All these next photos were taken by Eric's wife who, bless her, had the presence of mind to go around the luncheon and snap a few shots. Because the reception wasn't until evening and the ceremony was at 11 in the morning, we had a very casual luncheon for the family between the two.
Grandpa and Roger.
Gwen and Caroline.
Eric, Marc, Bryce, Collin (really???), his wife, Alison, and James. It was a big week for Collin's family as they hit the wedding during their move to California.
My very expectant DIL, Jan, Frederick, Edward, Evan, my DIL, Rachelle, and Marc.
My mom and my siblings with spouses. There's also a nephew thrown in there for good measure.
My husband's parents, his brother and wife, and one of his sisters and her 3 girls.
Emmett and Isaac giving each other hugs.
But since the luncheon hit during nap time, this was how most of the toddlers were feeling by the end of it.
After the luncheon came the set up in the backyard for the reception. My daughter had given the gals doing the reception a very eclectic list of things she envisioned.
Succulents, really pretty, romantic-looking flowers, pearls, wood, and gold. Somehow they pulled it into a cohesive look for the tables.
And it fit my daughter perfectly. She's pretty down-to-earth and loves the outdoors, but also has this really girly streak. It will probably be several weeks before I get access to any professional images of the day, but at the end of the reception my daughter hugged her dad and I and said it had been perfect, so I guess that was the goal. The videographer (and when did this come into vogue??) posted a sneak peek on Instagram, so I'll finish what I can post, with that:
Love the photos but oh wow!! That video is awesome!

It does look like a perfect day.
My computer broke and I've been missing blogs for a long time. Glad to see the wedding was a success!
