First off, a happy birthday to my sis.....love you!!
Bryce had a Men's Chorus concert scheduled right in the middle of the week Eric's family was in town so a quick trip to Utah was in order.
Being the Men's Chorus was a huge goal of his, so imagine how he felt when he got sick the day before his first, big concert. He rallied enough to not pass out during the performance, but dress rehearsal was a little iffy, so the director ordered up a stool for him to balance on just in case.
There is always what the director calls some "hoopla" at their concerts. It's what the audience really looks forward to. I mean, you've got 200 and something college-age young men singing a number like "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid, and not only do you have them all wearing leis...
...you also have inflatable whales
...and palm trees.
Bryce made it through (and you may notice that behind him is what looks like a giant sandbox....it's someone's "art" project), but was fading pretty fast, so we left him at his dorm to go straight to bed, and we turned around and started for home. No post-concert hoopla for us this trip.
Good times. Reminds me of high school graduation...

I'll bet they do a great rendition of Under the Sea. :-)

I LOVE BYU Mens choir. So cool that you get to go and have sons sing. Jealous.
