You know, everybody has things in life that aren't fun to deal with. Everybody. Some people's stuff isn't as hard as other's to experience, to live through, but everybody has those things. Sometimes it's a relatively short term crisis, sometimes it lasts a lifetime. Sometimes it's a overwhelming project that's really time-consuming and has a deadline, and other times it's a crushing loss that will never go away.
But something I know is, we can do hard things. We can. You know how I know this? Because I've lived through a husband having cancer, and I am the mother of a son who will have special needs for the rest of his life. We can do hard things if we do them one day at a time. We can do them by ourselves if we have to, but it helps to have others around for support and even if we don't, we can still do them. Because really, what choice do we have? We can either roll up in a fetal position and live in denial, or we can put our heads down and slog our way through....and come out the other side.
I've learned something from coming out on the other side. That old saying, "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger"? Yeah, it's pretty much true. You learn things about yourself and those around you...you learn what you're made of, and you learn lessons about what is really important in this life. It's not the things, it's the people and the relationships. Most of us can get by with a lot less stuff as long as those we care about are OK.
We can do hard things.
It may not be fun, but yes we can! In one week, my latest short term hard thing will be all over, thank goodness.,

As most, I too can speak from experience and you're right, we can survive and do hard things.

True. Life is hard.
It's just hard when the hard thing is the relationship and you don't even have that to rely on.
Things do get better.
