I've learned over the years that I hate sentences that start with those three words. They are always followed with something that means messing with my schedule. Last night was the double whammy. "Oh, honey, by the way, I need you to make a special trip to the post office and it has to be tomorrow because I left the Wyoming hunting tag applications too long and now they have to be sent 2-day air in order to get there on time." (Said really fast and in one breath...) Then, "Oh, by the way, my brother and his son are coming over and spending the weekend." Yeah, but don't you remember that DS is in the All-state choir (yay, DS!!) and we're going to be in Boise all day Saturday for a concert?? Really hate those three words. By the way, have you heard the children's song with this title? Hilarious.....kids singing to their mom...."Oh by the way, I need an orange juice can, five cotton balls, and six rubber bands and by the way, I'm an angel in the play, if you don't mind a thing......I'm gonna need some wings!"
omg you are so right! those three words never produce anything good like "by the way, you won the lottery"......ugh!
