I sort of thought that once my kids left the toddler years behind, I wouldn't hear this word very often.
Never make general assumptions.
It is probably one of the words I hear most often from The Girl these days. "WHY do I have to do a stupid senior project?" "WHY do I have to take the stupid ACT?" "WHY can't I drive in the stupid snow with balding tires?" "WHY do I have to go to the stupid orthodontist office by myself to get a new retainer to replace the one I lost?" "WHY do I have to do these stupid elipse math problems? Guarenteed I'll NEVER have to use them in stupid real life!" And most recently, "WHY do I have to learn all these stupid vocabulary words?"
Well, perhaps to expand your vocabulary so you can possibly acquire a broader list of adjectives.

He he. You should also point out that with a broader vocabulary, she would really rock at Words With Friends. Like her mother.
